Acrylic Landscape Tree Painting by Melody Cleary

"One Fine Day" 2009

$120 - art only

9"h x 12"w acrylic on Montval 185# paper. Palette knife and brush work.

We have a few tall, old Oregon ash trees behind our house...it is one of the things that drew me to our humble, open ranch since these trees are the view out 3 large windows on one wall. Their leaf colors are not dynamic; a few are still green and others are yellow, but it's seeing the branches with their last leaves hanging on that I find inspiring....the sun came out and I had to capture it. Today, a gust of wind made it snow those leaves and others in the distance, and in the sun, it's such a treat to see.
